Welcome to Kite Mad World! And thanks for checking us out.
Having started kitesurfing nearly 20 years ago, soon after the sport started up, I’ve gained a lot of knowledge and experience that I’m happy to share with you.
If you want to know more about how I got into kitesurfing and why Kite Mad World started, feel free to check out our “About the Author” page.
Kite Mad World – One-stop For Advice on Everything Kitesurfing.
The aim of Kitemadworld.com is to provide helpful advice on everything a beginner or progressing intermediate kitesurfer needs to know about the amazing sport of kitesurfing, including how to get started, choosing the right kit, safety, technique, locations and anything else I think might be relevant and interesting.
You’ll find all our articles in our blog list and we love to get feedback and questions, so please let us know what you think in the comments box.
You’ll find up to date and unbiased reviews on kit we’ve tested and used and, where we feel it could be right for our readers, we provide links to either our own shop or those of our partners where you can purchase at competitive prices.
Sharing the Stoke!
KItesurfing has come a long way since I got into the sport, and is constantly evolving, and it’s sometimes difficult to get clear, honest advice. So when I’m not either teaching others or kiting I’ll be adding new articles. Feel free to hit the “Follow” button and you’ll get an alert when I publish anything new.
It’s about sharing knowledge and experience, not spamming you with constant sales pitches, so you won’t get a barrage of emails. That’s a solemn promise!
Building the Kiting Community
We work with fellow kite businesses around the world and our aim is to build the community and help anyone new or progressing in the sport to get the knowledge they need and to find the right kit.
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

Hi Adrian,
I stumbled on your site searching for what would be a good kitesurfing equipment for a beginner. I have read with great pleasure your articles: great information. Thank you!
I am currently living on Wallis as in Wallis and Futuna Islands. There is a great lagoon, quite choppy if windy.
I would like some piece of advice on the equipment to have. Please, PM me if you can.
Keep riding and having fun,
Sylvain
Hi Sylvain,
Sounds like a great location.
Feel free to email me at adrian@kitemadworld.com. However, my advice would be to have lessons from a qualified instructor before even buying any equipment.
They will be able to advise you on the right equipment for you.
Cheers
Adrian
